Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art. It was created on the basis of combat systems and Japanese swordsmanship by M. Ueshiba. Aikido is a non-competitive discipline where training is an end in itself. It gives opportunities for everyone, regardless of age, gender, physical condition and health.

About us
Wroclaw Aikikai is part of the Birankai Poland organization, recognized by the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo. Birankai International, to which Birankai Poland belongs, is an organization created by TK Chiba Shihan 8th dan. Wroclaw Aikikai was founded under the name of Wrocławska Sekcja Aikido in 1997. Over the years the Dojo has changed location several times. We have transformed ourselves from a small group of beginners into a large dojo which now works with children, youths and adults. Classes include body art training, training with weapons, Batto-Ho classes (sword training) and Zazen classes.

The Dojo offers classes for children, youth groups, and morning and evening classes for adults. There are also Kenshusei and Uchideshi programmes for prospective instructors.

In addition to Aikido classes we provide numerous training courses, demonstrations and movement workshops. Since September 2010, we have been resident in Wroclaw’s only building dedicated to the pursuit of Aikido.
Main instructor and founder of Wrocław Aikikai is Piotr Masztalerz sensei 6 dan, shidoin Birankai International.
